“Lifesaver” is an installation that combines genetics, music and ironwork. The installation consists of four instruments, each allowing the playing of four notes or sounds (corresponding to the four amino acids in DNA). Each instrument represents a part of the phylogenetic tree. The installation was commissioned by the University of Tartu Museum and was on display at Toomemägi, Tartu, until the end of September 2024. Hopefully during October the installation will be opened at Fred Truus Ironwork Gallery.
