In her series “Seven years in watermelon sugar”, glass artist Andra Jõgis focuses on time and living one day at a time. There are no shortcuts or cheat codes, no skipping Mondays or extending Fridays. Every day must be survived and perhaps this is where the value of the everyday lies. The series is comprised on seven works, each made of approximately 365 individual cubes – each work containing a year’s worth of glass sugar cubes.
